Take a trip down the Ord River

The mouth of the Ord River is a 15 minute boat ride from camp.  The river winds and meanders through a lush and thick swamp land in the heart of northern Ontario’s wilderness.  The Ord river will take you to Lost, Church and Turtle Lake. Be sure to bring your camera when you pass “the old burned-out bridge”, “the trappers cabin”, “the falls” in Turtle Lake and tons of abundant wildlife like moose, herons, eagles, turtles and more.  The Ord’s width varies from 50 feet to 10 feet across as it bends and turns on its 4 mile path of fantastic scenery, abundant wildlife and great fishing.

Visit Perrault Falls

The rushing water of The Falls thrash and carve their way through half a mile of rugged wilderness.  A walking path and access from either side of The Falls offers ideal view points for tourists and photo enthusiasts.

This is a great place to take a few family photos, get your feet wet and admire natures awesome power!

Swimming, Tubbing & Cliff Jumping

Jump off the dock, wade in from the shore or bring your floating chairs and kids toys to enjoy a hot afternoon in Perrault Lake’s cool clear water. The lake front also offers a swing, picnic table, large deck and a small sand beach for the kids to build castles and dig the day away. We welcome you to bring your tubing/wake boarding gear and churn up the bay! For the hardcore adventure seekers, jump off a cliff! Select spots along Perrault Lake’s 50+ miles of shoreline offer 20′-30′ cliffs perfect for a thrilling leap into the lake.

Berry Picking

Northwestern Ontario bears the most beautiful wild berries! Through late July and August blueberries, raspberries and even high bush cranberries are found in incredible abundance anywhere from a few to dozen miles from Perrault Lake Camp.
